Advisors, mentors, peers, and friends

Great leaders know that in order to keep growing, they need fresh insights, support, and trusted advice. This peer group has it all. As the group leader, George draws from lessons he’s learned throughout his own professional journey, which has given him the experience  needed to help business owners create the entrepreneurial lives they’ve always wanted.

Presentations

Members bring their challenges and opportunities — both business and personal — to the group in monthly meetings. Applying a structured methodology, the group gets to the heart of the issue, and gives their input and guidance.

Learnings

The group chooses topics it wants to learn more about, and the content is delivered by outside subject matter experts, the group leader, or individual members.

Accountability

Members set goals, and share progress at meetings. They also meet regularly between meetings with an accountability partner to stay focused and connected.

Annual offsite

Once a year, the group takes time for reflection, learning, and bonding. Members dive into business and personal topics, from crafting a long term vision to doing a personal SWOT.

There’s a trust people have in George. When he calls me on something, I can tell he’s coming at it with compassion and non-judgement.

George is a master facilitator. The insights from our discussions have saved me from some big missteps, and helped me capitalize on some incredible opportunities.

George Noroian

George grew up in a small family business, learning from an early age that there are both good and bad ways to be an entrepreneur. He had a diverse professional journey himself. From serving in the diplomatic corps, to getting his MBA from Stanford, and running two multi-million dollar companies. As an entrepreneur, consultant and facilitator with more than 30 years of business and leadership experience, he’s discovered that empathy, clarity, humility, accountability and curiosity are crucial values for any leader. Since founding Giant Leap in 2003, he’s supported hundreds of leaders through assessments, workshops, peer mentoring, and consulting.

Who can join?

A typical group member might describe themselves like this:

  • I’m an owner-operator or partner of the business
  • My company makes between $2-50M a year
  • I’m the main decision-maker
  • I want to grow the business
  • I’m willing to be open, vulnerable, and personal
  • I’m a lifelong learner

How it works

How often do we meet?

Between September and June, we meet 10 times – including 3 full day meetings, 6 half day meetings, and a 2-day offsite. Members select the specific dates.

Where do we meet?

Each group member hosts one meeting per year at their office, home, or other meeting room. Hosts provide light food and refreshments.

What's on the agenda?

At every meeting, members provide updates, and present timely issues or opportunities. There’s also facilitated learning experiences and time to connect personally.

Is there any homework?

Members share brief written updates before each meeting, and occasionally need to prepare for a presentation, or read an article or a chapter from a book in advance.

Fees

Peer group fees are $8,100 per year plus a one-time $1,000 onboarding fee, and around $2,000-3,000 per year for offsite expenses and the annual holiday gathering. 1-1 mentoring with the group leader is optional, and available for an additional fee.
